Man Charged After County Lines Police Raid Uncovers Drugs and Weapons
A man has been charged with multiple serious drug offences following a major County Lines investigation by West Midlands Police. The charges relate to the supply of crack cocaine, heroin, and cocaine in the Birmingham area.
Investigation and Raid Details
The West Midlands County Lines Taskforce Team conducted an extensive investigation into the supply of Class A drugs between September 2023 and January 2025. This probe led to a significant police raid in the Highgate area of Birmingham in January last year.
During that operation, officers discovered a substantial haul of illegal substances and weapons. The seizure included approximately 12 kilograms of Class A drugs alongside various weapons, highlighting the serious nature of the criminal activity being investigated.
Charges and Court Appearance
Mohammed Khabbab Khan, aged 31 and of no fixed address, has now been formally charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, heroin, and cocaine. These charges represent serious offences under UK drug laws.
The defendant has been remanded in custody and was scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Friday, February 27. The court appearance marks a significant development in this ongoing County Lines investigation.
Police Statement
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed the details, stating: "A man is due to appear in court charged with multiple Class A drug offences. Mohammed Khabbab Khan, aged 31, of no fixed address has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, concerned in the supply of heroin, and concerned in the supply of cocaine."
The spokesperson continued: "It follows an investigation by our County Lines Taskforce Team into the supply of drugs between September 2023 and January 2025 in the Birmingham area. That came after a warrant in Highgate in January last year uncovered 12 kilos of Class A drugs and weapons."
This case underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat County Lines drug operations, which often involve the exploitation of vulnerable individuals and the distribution of dangerous substances across regional networks.
