A man is due in court following a stabbing incident in Birmingham city centre, which left two men injured. West Midlands Police have charged Abdulwasi Ahmadi, aged 22, of Diversity Grove, Perry Barr, with wounding with intent and causing actual bodily harm.
Incident Details
Police sealed off Centenary Square, outside the Library of Birmingham, around 2:30 PM on Thursday, June 11, after two injured men were discovered. One victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where his condition is now described as stable. The other sustained minor injuries to his hand.
Charges and Court Appearance
Abdulwasi Ahmadi has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Monday, June 15. A second man, aged 21, has been bailed pending further enquiries.
West Midlands Police stated: "A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Birmingham city centre. We were called to Centenary Square shortly after 2:30 PM on Thursday (11 June), where two men in their 20s were found injured."
