A 31-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and causing actual bodily harm following an attack on three men in Lozells on Monday. David Fedak, from Handsworth, is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on August 11 in connection with the incident.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Lozells Road yesterday morning, where a 32-year-old man was found with stab wounds. A second man, aged 30, was also stabbed on Finch Road and remains in a serious condition in hospital alongside the first victim.
Rock attack on third victim
A third man, aged 64, was attacked with a rock on Lozells Road. Fortunately, he sustained only minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
Fedak has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, actual bodily harm (ABH), and possession of a bladed article. He remains in custody ahead of his court appearance.
Police appeal for witnesses
West Midlands Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information, including mobile phone or dash cam footage, to come forward. A special online portal has been set up for submitting information.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We understand how distressing this incident is for the community and have more officers in the area to offer reassurance."
