Man Held After Double Stabbing at Digbeth Venue

A man has been arrested following a double stabbing at a rave in Birmingham's Digbeth area. West Midlands Police confirmed that a man in his 40s was taken into custody on Monday morning in connection with the incident at Luna Springs on Lower Trinity Street.

Emergency services were called to the venue at around 7pm on Saturday, May 9, after reports of a stabbing. Two men were found with injuries and were rushed to hospital. Police stated that their injuries were not life-threatening, and one of the victims has since been discharged.

Police Investigation

In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "We have made an arrest after two men were stabbed at a venue in Digbeth this weekend. The arrest of a man in his 40s came this morning as part of investigations into the incident in Lower Trinity Street, shortly before 7pm on Saturday."

Officers are appealing for anyone who was inside the venue at the time to come forward, particularly those with mobile phone footage or any information that could assist the inquiry.

Ambulance Service Response

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing on Lower Trinity Street in Birmingham at 6.53pm on Saturday and sent three ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor with critical care paramedic to the scene. On arrival, crews found two men who they treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries before conveying both to hospital."

Police inquiries are ongoing, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
