A man has been left with serious injuries following a reported stabbing on a Birmingham street on Monday afternoon.
Emergency Response on Portland Road
Emergency services were called to the junction of City Road and Portland Road in Edgbaston at 12.07pm on Monday, 15 December. West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched an ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT trauma team to the scene.
Paramedics provided urgent trauma care to a male victim at the location for what were described as 'potentially serious injuries'. He was subsequently conveyed to hospital for further treatment.

West Midlands Police have confirmed they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and will be issuing a statement. The force's enquiries are ongoing.
The incident caused significant disruption to local bus services. National Express West Midlands confirmed that its number 80 route was diverted away from the area. Buses were rerouted via City Road, Sandon Road, Bearwood Road, and Waterloo Road. The normal service was restored at approximately 2.15pm.
