A young man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed during a firework display in Telford, in what police have described as an 'extremely distressing' attack that shocked the local community.

The incident occurred on a playing field on Wellington Road in Donnington at approximately 8:30pm on Saturday, November 8. The victim, a 20-year-old man, sustained a stab wound during the public event.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and the victim was promptly transported to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that his condition is now described as stable.
