Police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal stabbing of a man in the Tile Hill area of Coventry in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency Response on Aldrich Avenue
West Midlands Police were called to Aldrich Avenue at approximately 4:15am today, Tuesday, November 18. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man who had suffered serious stab wounds.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the victim, a 53-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are now being supported by specially trained officers.
Arrest Made in Connection with Fatal Stabbing
As part of their urgent enquiries, detectives arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of murder this afternoon. The suspect remains in police custody for questioning.
In an official statement, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We remain at the scene this evening carrying out enquiries and are not currently looking for anyone else as part of the investigation."
Appeal for Information from the Public
Authorities are now urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with their investigation. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage or other recordings from the Aldrich Avenue area around the time of the incident.
