West Mercia Police have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses after a child was assaulted on a street in Telford. The incident occurred on Wade Road in the Trench area, prompting a serious investigation by local authorities.
Details of the Disturbing Attack
The assault took place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 3:20 PM. According to police reports, the young girl was walking along Wade Road when a woman began shouting at her. Shortly after, a man wearing a black balaclava appeared and struck the child around the face.
The victim immediately fled the scene and returned home, where she discovered she had sustained an injury to her face. The attack has left the community concerned and police determined to identify those responsible.
Descriptions of the Suspects
Police have released detailed descriptions of both individuals involved in the incident:
- The Woman: Described as white, aged between 30 and 40 years old, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with blonde hair. She was reportedly wearing a black gilet, a dirty beige short-sleeve top, black Puma leggings, and black trainers.
- The Man: Described as significantly taller than the woman. He was wearing a black balaclava and a full black Nike tracksuit at the time of the assault.

A woman approached the girl shouting, before a man appeared and struck the girl round the face."
