Two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the disappearance of a Midland woman, with police expressing serious concerns that she may have come to harm. Katie Love, a 48-year-old resident of Nuneaton, was reported missing to authorities on Monday, February 23.

Police Express Grave Concerns for Missing Woman

Warwickshire Police have stated that detectives are increasingly worried about the safety of Katie Love, given the significant amount of time that has passed since she was last seen. The investigation has been escalated to the major crime team, underscoring the severity of the situation.

Details of the Arrests and Investigation

A 48-year-old man from Nuneaton was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, March 2. He has since been released on bail as the inquiry continues. Additionally, a 49-year-old man from the same area was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday, February 26. He has been released under investigation while police pursue further leads.

Detectives received a tip-off regarding a silver Peugeot 206 last weekend, which led to the vehicle being located. However, Katie Love was not found inside. The police have emphasized that she has connections to Skegness and is also known in the Nuneaton, Hartshill, and Kingsbury areas.

Appeal for Public Assistance

Detective Inspector Gareth Unett, who is leading the investigation, issued a heartfelt appeal to the community. He said, “We want to reassure the community we’re doing everything we can to try and find Katie safe and well. Sadly, given the length of time that has passed, we’re also considering the possibility she may have come to harm.”

He added, “We’d like to thank everyone who shared our appeal at the weekend and helped us locate the car. Understandably, Katie’s family really want to find her, and we’re keeping them updated as the investigation progresses.
