West Midlands Police have launched Operation Fearless on Soho Road and the Handsworth Triangle, deploying 20 officers to tackle crime on one of Birmingham's busiest shopping streets.
Multi-Agency Crackdown
The multi-agency crackdown targets theft, drug issues, knife crime and anti-social behaviour. Police are working alongside Trading Standards, West Midlands Fire Service, Immigration, HMRC and the Gambling Commission.
Arrests and Success
The team, based at Thornhill Road police station, has already made more than 20 arrests since the operation began. Operation Fearless previously had success on Erdington High Street before moving to the city centre's Southside area in April 2025.
