West Midlands Police have launched a public appeal to identify a group of boys believed to be involved in a threatening assault on a man in Smethwick. The incident occurred on Adkins Lane at approximately 8.50pm on 31 January, when the victim was approached by the group.

The boys are described as being around 15 to 16 years old. Following the attack, officers have conducted extensive enquiries, including a thorough review of all available CCTV footage, but have so far been unable to identify the individuals.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We’ve been investigating after a man was threatened and assaulted after being approached by a group on Adkins Lane, Smethwick. Our officers have carried out extensive enquiries – including a thorough review of all CCTV possibilities – following the attack.”

“We’ve still been unable to identify these boys, who we want to speak to over the incident at around 8.50pm on 31 January. They are all described as being around 15 to 16-years-old,” the spokesperson added.
The force is now asking anyone who recognises the group or has any information to come forward. Witnesses or those with knowledge of the incident are urged to contact police.
