West Midlands Police have issued an appeal for information after hundreds of pounds worth of tools were stolen from a workman in Birmingham city centre.

Theft on Ellis Street

The victim was carrying out work at a premises on Ellis Street, off Holloway Circus, when he noticed that the tools, valued at hundreds of pounds, had gone missing. The incident occurred at around 12pm on March 17.

Police have released an image of a man they believe may have information that could assist with their investigation.

Description of the suspect

The man is described as being of large build, with a dark moustache, and was wearing bright red trainers at the time of the theft.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "Can you help us identify this man? We're asking for the public's help after hundreds of pounds worth of tools were stolen while the victim carried out work at premises on Ellis Street, Birmingham, on 17 March, around 12pm."
