West Midlands Police have issued an urgent appeal to help trace two missing girls who may be together in Birmingham city centre. Officers are asking anyone who spots Kaitlyn, 15, or Sarah, 12, to contact them immediately.
The force confirmed the pair could be in the city centre and released descriptions of both teenagers in a public appeal on Saturday, October 10. Police have asked anyone with information to call 999, quoting log 2733 of 7 October.
Descriptions of the missing girls
Kaitlyn, who is missing from Kingstanding, is described as around 5ft tall with light brown hair and blonde highlights. Sarah, aged 12, was last seen wearing a white short-sleeved mini top, black flared bootleg trousers and black Nike trainers. She has black hair which is below shoulder length.
In the appeal, West Midlands Police said: "Have you seen Kaitlyn and Sarah? They're missing and may be together in #Birmingham city centre." The force added: "If you see either of them, call 999 quoting log 2733 of 7 October."
Public urged to report sightings
The appeal comes as officers work to locate the two girls, who were reported missing separately. Police have not confirmed how long they have been missing but have urged anyone with information to act quickly.
West Midlands Police have asked members of the public not to approach the girls but to contact emergency services immediately if they are seen. The force has stressed the importance of calling 999 rather than sharing information on social media.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Kaitlyn or Sarah should call West Midlands Police on 999, quoting log 2733 of 7 October.
