Police investigating a weapon alert have issued a CCTV appeal but blurred the faces of those they wish to identify. West Mercia Police said they want to trace three youths following an incident on Bromsgrove Road in Redditch on Thursday, May 14.
A member of the public reported that three teenagers were in possession of what was thought to be a weapon. Officers rushed to the scene but were unable to find any suspects. A CCTV image was released, but the faces of the individuals were blurred.
Police Statement
Redditch police stated: "Appeal to identify group of young people. Officers have released a CCTV image of three people they would like to identify following an incident in Redditch yesterday (Thursday 14 May). Around 3.15pm, a report was received from a member of the public that three teenagers were in possession of what was thought to be a weapon on Bromsgrove Road. An immediate search of the area was carried out; however, officers were unable to locate the individuals."
"CCTV checks were also carried out, and an image is now being released to identify those involved. Due to their suspected ages, for legal reasons, their faces have been blurred but we are hoping that someone who knows them will recognise them."
