Police sealed off a central Birmingham street this evening following an incident, with officers and vehicles visible at the scene and forensic teams reportedly expected to attend.
The cordon was in place on New Street in the city centre, outside the Size? store, directly opposite Birmingham's Apple Store, according to eyewitnesses. The incident was reported on September 16.
Witness reports two to three officers at scene
A witness who was present at around 8.20pm said approximately two to three police officers remained at the location. Police tape was strung between trees on the street, stretching from the shoe store to the end of the Apple Store near the tram line, opposite the ramp.
The eyewitness, who chose to remain anonymous, told BirminghamLive: "There's a police cordon in place along with police vehicles and a few police officers."
They added: "They are currently awaiting forensics to attend the scene."

The road closure comes amid a busy evening in the city centre, with the police presence drawing attention from passers-by and nearby businesses.
