Police find cocaine and cash after stopping car in Walsall

Police officers made an alarming discovery after they stopped a 'suspicious' vehicle in the Black Country. The car tried to make off after it was seen on Harden Road in Bloxwich just after 8.30pm on Wednesday, May 27. It was then stopped by police and a search uncovered a quantity of what is thought to be cocaine.

Cash was also discovered inside the vehicle, police have said. A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and driving offences. He remains in custody for questioning, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said.

They added: "We've recovered suspected Class A drugs and made an arrest after stopping a car in Walsall. Officers were on patrol when they spotted a suspicious vehicle in Harden Road, Bloxwich, just after 8.30pm yesterday (27 May). The vehicle initially tried to make off but was quickly stopped and searched. We recovered what's believed to be cocaine and a stash of cash."
