Police have issued CCTV images of a scrambler bike they are urgently trying to trace after a teenager was left seriously injured in a collision.
The 14-year-old was hit by a bike as he walked in Castle Vale Centre Park, off Yatesbury Avenue, shortly before 8pm on Sunday (31 May).
A 16-year-old boy was arrested nearby on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and has been bailed.
West Midlands Police understand that the bike involved was a black and yellow off-road scrambler and are following several lines of enquiry to locate it.
Police Appeal for Information
Although the pictures we are releasing are not the clearest, any information could be vital to their investigation.
Det Sgt Rich Evans, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), said: “Someone, somewhere must know something about this bike, and we are focussed on finding it as we continue our investigation.
“It may have been dumped or may be being stored.
“Any information, no matter how small, could be vital to our enquiries.
“Likewise, if anyone saw what happened, or has footage from around the area, please get in touch urgently.”
How to Help
Anyone with information or footage that could help the investigation is urged to contact police via Live Chat on their website or by calling 101 quoting log 4455 of 31 May.
