West Midlands Police are appealing for information following the theft of a substantial amount of stainless steel from a commercial premises in Birmingham.
The Incident
The burglary occurred overnight between 10pm on Wednesday, 22 March and 6am on Thursday, 23 March. Offenders forced entry into an industrial unit on Tysley Industrial Estate, Tyburn Road, and made off with a large quantity of stainless steel.
Police believe the stolen metal was taken using a vehicle, possibly a van or a flatbed truck. The value of the stolen goods is estimated to be significant.
Suspects Description
Two suspects are being sought in connection with the incident. The first is described as a white male, aged between 30 and 40, of average build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and jeans at the time of the offence.
The second suspect is also a white male, aged between 25 and 35, of slim build, with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey hooded top and dark trousers.
Police Appeal
Detective Constable Sarah Jones, from West Midlands Police CID, said: 'This was a significant theft which has had a considerable impact on the business. We are determined to identify the offenders and bring them to justice.'
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who has any information about the theft, to come forward.
