West Midlands Police have launched an investigation after a woman was reportedly touched inappropriately in Birmingham city centre. The incident occurred on St Chads Queensway, near Whittall Street, at approximately 6.50pm on Saturday, June 27.
The victim was walking along the road when a man approached her and attempted to speak with her before touching her inappropriately. Officers have since released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify in connection with the incident.
CCTV appeal launched
In the image, the man is wearing blue jeans and a light-coloured t-shirt. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Can you tell who this is? We're investigating after a man tried to speak with a woman as she walked on St Chads Queensway, Birmingham, and then touched her inappropriately."
The spokesperson added: "The incident happened near Whittall Street, at around 6.50pm on Saturday, June 27, and we've been working to trace the person involved. This image isn't too clear, but we hope that someone will recognise the person in it."
