Jacob Leslie Simcock, a 35-year-old man from Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, has been sentenced to 14 years and 10 months in prison for a series of serious offences against two women. The sentence was handed down at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on August 12, 2026, and includes an extended licence period of three years and two months.
Simcock admitted to two counts of rape of a woman, two counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of threatening to share a photograph or film of a person in an intimate state, one count of engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, and one count of stalking involving fear of violence. He was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life and given an indefinite restraining order against both survivors.
Details of the offences
Simcock raped and strangled one woman inside a house last year. He later raped the same woman again in a separate incident. The offences were only disclosed to Staffordshire Police when the victim came forward. During the investigation, officers discovered that Simcock had recorded both rapes. The recordings were found on his devices, and the survivor was informed of their existence, having previously been unaware.
Simcock also threatened to share explicit videos of this victim, tried to prevent her from contacting anyone, and threatened to harm her. In relation to a second woman, he strangled, stalked, and threatened to share indecent images of her. He asked her to tell police she had been lying and attempted to contact her from withheld numbers while she was at a police station. He also told her he was not scared about petrol bombing her house.

Detective Constable Adele Thompson of Staffordshire Police said: "I’m pleased that we’ve been able to build all of the evidence needed to secure a substantial prison sentence against Simcock today. What he subjected the survivors to was utterly deplorable and I hope this sends a message to anyone else out there that we will take robust action against those responsible for these crimes."

The court heard that Simcock's actions were described as "utterly deplorable" by the investigating officer. The sentencing reflects the severity of the offences, which included repeated violence, threats, and the recording of sexual assaults without consent.
Simcock will serve 14 years and 10 months in custody, followed by an extended licence period. The indefinite restraining order prohibits him from contacting either survivor. His placement on the Sex Offenders Register for life means he will be subject to ongoing monitoring and notification requirements.
