Three men were arrested when police raided a property in Redditch, uncovering a cache of weapons and drugs. Officers from West Mercia Police executed a warrant at an address on Guinness Close in Oakenshaw, Redditch, on Friday, March 13, 2026, acting on intelligence regarding the suspected illegal supply of drugs in the town.

Weapons and Drugs Seized in Police Operation

During the raid, police discovered a significant quantity of cannabis, some of which was prepared and ready for sale. Additionally, scales and other drug paraphernalia were found, along with cash. The most striking items seized included a Samurai-type sword and flick knives, all of which were confiscated by authorities as part of the investigation.

The three men present at the address, aged 39, 42, and 18, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis with intent to supply. They were taken into custody but have since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Statement on Community Safety

Pc James Roberts commented on the operation, stating, “On Friday, we executed a drugs warrant acting on information around the suspected sale of illegal drugs in the town. We arrested three men on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis with intent to supply who have since been released under investigation. A quantity of drugs and weapons were seized and enquiries are ongoing.”

He added, “We hope Friday’s actions show the public we are always looking out for anyone seeking to deal drugs in our communities as the harm their sale causes is well known.” The investigation remains active, with police working to gather further evidence and ensure community safety.
