A teenage boy and a man are fighting for their lives after a double shooting in Solihull, prompting a police manhunt for the gunman.
The victims were shot on Vauxhall Crescent at approximately 2:30am on Monday, June 15. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and both individuals were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police Investigation Underway
No arrests have been made as detectives continue their inquiries. A blue forensic tent was erected at the scene, and police search teams combed the area for evidence.
One resident reported hearing at least four gunshots during the night. Police have appealed for anyone with information or footage to come forward.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating after shots were fired in Vauxhall Crescent, Smith’s Wood, this morning. A man and a teenage boy were injured just before 2:40am. Their injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Our investigation is in its early stages, and officers will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area.”
Ambulance Response
West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma team, HART paramedics, and a Critical Care car from The Air Ambulance Service. Both patients received trauma care at the scene before being conveyed to hospital under blue lights and sirens.
