Solihull Tower Block Sealed After Man Suffers Life-Changing Head Injury
Police have cordoned off a tower block in Solihull after a man was discovered with a serious head injury in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The incident occurred on Heathmere Drive in Fordbridge, prompting a significant emergency response.

West Midlands Police were called to the scene shortly before 5am on April 7, 2026, following reports of an injured man. Paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service arrived at 4.44am, deploying an ambulance and a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic.
The victim was treated at the scene for what has been described as potentially life-changing injuries before being conveyed to hospital for further treatment. His condition remains under medical supervision.

Authorities have taped off Linacre House, a tower block on Heathmere Drive, as part of their investigation. Forensic teams have been active in the area throughout the day, with a drone also deployed to assist in gathering evidence.
Local residents reported a continued police presence more than 12 hours after the initial 999 calls, with force vans and officers maintaining a visible presence in the community.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "We are investigating after a man was found injured in Solihull this morning. We were called to Heathmere Drive shortly before 5am after the man was found with a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital for further treatment and we are working to investigate how he came to be injured."
The West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "On arrival, crews found a man who they treated for potentially life changing injuries before he was conveyed to hospital."
