Police have provided a significant update following a violent incident near George's Park in Lozells, Birmingham. A man who was taken to hospital after the disturbance has now been arrested and questioned by detectives.
Arrest Made After Hospital Treatment
The 20-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the incident on Wills Street, which occurred at around 7pm on May 29. He was questioned after being discharged from hospital and has since been released on bail with conditions.
Two men were rushed to hospital following the violence, with one sustaining life-changing injuries. The second man remains in recovery.
Police Investigation Continues
West Midlands Police confirmed that Wills Street was closed for several hours but reopened the following day. A force spokesperson said: "A man, 20, who was originally taken to hospital, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. He has been bailed with conditions while enquiries continue. A second man, who was also taken to hospital, continues to recover from his injuries."
