A 17-year-old boy was stabbed on grass near Ladywood Middleway in Birmingham, leading to the arrest of a second teenager on suspicion of violent disorder.
West Midlands Police were called to the scene shortly after 7.10pm on August 12 following reports that a teenager had been stabbed on the grass beside the road. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Arrest and Investigation
A 17-year-old boy has since been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the incident. Detectives sealed off Ladywood Middleway last night, but the road has since reopened.
West Midlands Police has confirmed that officer patrols in the area will be increased as the investigation continues. A force spokesperson said: "We’ve arrested a boy and are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in Birmingham."

The spokesperson added: "Officers were called to Ladywood Middleway, shortly after 7.10pm last night (12 Aug) to reports that a teenager had been stabbed on the grass beside the road."
"A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital with injuries thankfully not believed to be life-threatening. A 17-year-old boy has since been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder."
Increased Patrols and Community Reassurance
"There will be an increase in officers in the area as our investigation continues so we would ask anyone with any concerns to come forward and speak to us," the spokesperson continued.
