A 14-year-old girl has been attacked on a Birmingham road, leading to her hospitalization and the arrest of two women. The incident occurred on Nursery Road in Lozells on Thursday evening, June 11.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 6:45pm after the teenager reported the assault. She was taken to hospital with injuries that were fortunately not serious.
Arrests Made
Two women, aged 44 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of assault. They have since been released on bail with conditions as the investigation continues.
Nursery Road was temporarily closed by police following the incident.
Police Appeal
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: "We responded to reports of a teenage girl being assaulted on Nursery Road, Birmingham, at around 6.45pm on 11 June. Officers attended and a girl aged 14, was taken to hospital with injuries that thankfully were not serious. Two women, aged 44 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of assault. Both women have since been bailed with conditions while our investigation continues."
She added: "We would ask anyone who has any information or was in the area at the time to get in touch with us on 101 quoting crime number 20/282645/26."
