Teenager Sentenced to Prison After Discarding Zombie Knife in West Bromwich
A teenager has been handed an eight-month prison sentence after police officers witnessed him throwing a zombie knife under a car in West Bromwich. The incident occurred on Monday, February 23, when West Midlands Police were conducting routine patrols in the area.
Foot Chase Leads to Arrest and Charges
Officers reported observing two men behaving suspiciously, which prompted a brief foot pursuit. The chase concluded on Overend Street, where both individuals were detained. During the apprehension, one of the men, identified as 19-year-old Jesse Boakye from Cape Hill in Smethwick, was seen discarding a zombie knife underneath a nearby vehicle.
Boakye was immediately arrested on charges of possession of a knife. He appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court the following day, on Tuesday, February 24, where he entered a guilty plea. The magistrate subsequently sentenced him to eight months in custody.
