Telford Man Appears in Court on Serious Charges
A 21-year-old man from Telford has been charged with attempted murder following a serious incident in the Midlands town.
Abubakar Saleem, of Victoria Avenue in the Wellington area of Telford, has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
Police Statement on the Charges
The charges were confirmed by West Mercia Police and relate to an incident which occurred in Telford, Shropshire, on the evening of Saturday, November 8.
A spokesperson for the force stated: "Abubakar Saleem, of Victoria Avenue, Wellington in Telford has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. The charges are in relation to an incident in Telford on Saturday evening (8 November)."
Court Appearance Following Arrest
Saleem was scheduled to make his first court appearance at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, November 15.
The 21-year-old defendant was due to face the magistrates to hear the formal charges brought against him by the police.
