Tributes have been paid to a 'loving family man' who tragically lost his life following a crash in the Midlands.
Tyler Fairman, aged 26, was struck by a red Vauxhall Astra that mounted a kerb in Market Place, Arnold, Nottinghamshire, at 1.12am on Saturday, May 9. He sustained serious injuries and passed away several days later on Tuesday, May 12.
His devastated family have paid heartfelt tribute, describing him as a devoted partner, loving son, and father figure who was 'loved by everyone around him'.
In a statement, they said: 'On Tuesday, May 12, we lost our beautiful boy, Tyler Shea Fairman. There are no words now, nor will there ever be, to truly describe how broken this has left us all. Our hearts are shattered, and the world has become a much darker place without him in it.'
They continued: 'Anyone who knew Tyler knew there was never a bad word to say about him. He was the kind of person who would do anything for anybody. He was always there for everyone and was a devoted partner, a loyal friend, a loving son and a father figure to so many people around him.'
The family highlighted his infectious smile and laugh, which could 'light up any room'. They added: 'He always knew how to make people feel better when they were down. Nothing will ever feel the same again.'
Tyler leaves behind a two-year-old son, his partner, and an unborn daughter. The family said: 'He was an incredibly proud family man who worked hard every single day to provide for the family he loved. He had his whole life ahead of him, until it was cruelly ripped away.'
They also recalled his love for football and his dream of watching his son play from the sidelines. The outpouring of tributes has shown how deeply he was loved.
Duane Anthony, 40, of Marton Road, Bulwell, has been charged with five counts of attempted murder, aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified, and driving without valid insurance. He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on June 8, with a trial expected on October 7.
Detective Inspector Clare Gibson of Nottinghamshire Police expressed condolences and urged the public to respect the family's privacy, adding: 'A murder investigation is now underway following Tyler’s death, so anything relating to this incident should be shared with the police, not online, as doing so could potentially impede the pursuit of justice.'
