Early Morning Robbery in Soho Leads to Two Arrests

Two men have been arrested by West Midlands Police following a disturbing incident in the Soho area of Birmingham, where a man was assaulted, threatened, and coerced into transferring money.

The police were called to an address on South Road in Soho at approximately 7.20am on Monday, November 17. Upon arrival, officers discovered an injured man who required medical attention.

Victim Treatment and Police Response

The victim, described as being in his 30s, was treated by paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service at the scene. The ambulance service confirmed they treated one male patient for injuries that were assessed as non-life-threatening.

Contrary to initial reports, the man did not wish to be taken to hospital and was subsequently discharged on the scene after receiving treatment.

Officers swiftly arrested a 36-year-old man and a 47-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. Both individuals remain in police custody for questioning.

Ongoing Investigation at HMO Property

Police officers remained at the large property on South Road throughout the morning. The location is understood to be a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO).

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "We were called to South Road in Soho this morning after a man was assaulted, threatened and made to send over money. Officers attended and arrested two men on suspicion of robbery."

The investigation into the full circumstances of the robbery and assault is ongoing as police continue their work at the scene.
