Recent Fatal Collisions on Tyburn Road
This incident marks the latest serious collision on Tyburn Road in recent weeks. On Sunday, August 23, 36-year-old Chris Manders, described as a "proud Blues fan", died following a collision between a motorcycle and a car on the A38 in Tyburn, near Kingsbury Road. He was riding the motorbike and died at the scene.
Earlier, on July 27, a 33-year-old man driving a Ford Focus died in a collision on Tyburn Road at around 2.15am. West Midlands Ambulance Service reported that the car left the road before hitting a tree and overturning. That incident occurred near the junction of Walker Drive, not far from the site of last night's crash.
Impact on Local Traffic
The repeated serious incidents on this stretch of the A38 have raised concerns about road safety in the area. With the latest closure, drivers are being advised to find alternative routes and to expect delays. West Midlands Police have not yet indicated when the roads will reopen, but they have pledged to provide further information as it becomes available.
