Man Charged With Stealing £800 in Wolverhampton Shop Thefts
A 41-year-old man has been brought before the courts following allegations of shop theft targeting Wolverhampton retailers.
David Everitt appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Friday, November 7, facing three counts of theft relating to incidents that occurred in July and September this year.
Details of the Alleged Offences
The charges stem from the theft of alcohol and clothing valued at approximately £800 from three separate stores in the Wolverhampton area.
According to West Midlands Police, the investigation led to Everitt's arrest at an address near Wolverhampton city centre on the morning of Thursday, November 6.
The 41-year-old was subsequently charged and remanded to appear before magistrates the following day.

This figure represents a substantial increase of 20,000 arrests compared to the total recorded in 2022, demonstrating intensified efforts to combat retail crime.
