West Midlands Police has released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify after a woman was sexually assaulted near a bus stop in eastern Birmingham. The incident occurred on Warwick Road, which runs from the Balti Triangle area through Tyseley and Acocks Green to Olton, at approximately 4pm on Wednesday, March 18.
The suspect is described as white, with curly black hair and a goatee beard. He was wearing a black jacket over a black and white t-shirt. After the assault, he ran away and boarded a National Express West Midlands Number 4 bus heading towards Birmingham city centre.
Police Appeal for Information
In a statement, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “A woman was sexually assaulted near a bus stop on Warwick Road, before a man ran away from the area and then got on the Number 4 bus heading towards Birmingham.” The spokesperson added: “The incident happened at around 4pm on 18 March. Since then, we have carried out enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage but have been unable to identify them.”
