A 42-year-old woman has been charged with possession of a bladed article after a sword was discovered on a bus in the Black Country. The incident occurred on Wednesday, 19 March, when police were called to reports of a person with a weapon on a bus in the Great Bridge area of Tipton.
Officers from West Midlands Police attended the scene and located the woman, who was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. The sword was seized by officers. The woman has since been charged and is due to appear before magistrates at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on a date to be confirmed.
