Woman Critically Injured After Fall from Bus in Dudley

A woman is fighting for her life after falling from a bus in Dudley on Tuesday, June 16. The incident occurred on Kingswinford Road shortly after 6.30am, prompting a major emergency response.

Emergency Response and Hospitalisation

Paramedics provided advanced trauma care at the scene before rushing the woman, believed to be in her 50s, to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital. West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed they dispatched one ambulance, a paramedic officer, and a trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic.

“Upon arrival we found a woman who had sustained life-threatening injuries,” a spokesperson said. “She received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.”

Road Closure and Investigation

Kingswinford Road was closed for approximately five hours while emergency services worked. West Midlands Police’s serious collision investigation unit is leading the probe.

A police spokesperson stated: “Shortly after 6.30am, we were called to Kingswinford Road, Dudley, after a woman in her 50s received life-threatening injuries after falling from a bus. The investigation is ongoing, and we urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward.”
