A historic West Midlands estate with origins dating back to the Domesday Book is set for a significant revival after being purchased by two prominent local businessmen.

The Patshull Park Estate, a vast 214-acre property in the West Midlands, has been acquired by Shropshire rose breeder David Austin and Ian Bonser, president of the UK Golf Federation. The estate's history is profoundly deep, with its roots traceable to before the Norman Conquest and its first official record appearing in the Domesday Book.
The new owners have announced ambitious plans to restore and reinvent the estate, which was once home to a hotel and golf course. Their vision is to create a "multi-functional destination" that respectfully celebrates the area's rich heritage, landscape, and value to the local community.
