Two drug dealers have been sentenced to prison after police discovered a stash of illegal drugs during a traffic stop in Cannock. Officers pulled over a blue Skoda on Hawks Green Lane in January this year, finding Jay Richardson and Jack Brandrick inside the vehicle.
Details of the Stop
During the search, Brandrick was found with a plastic tub containing 10 snap bags of cocaine and cannabis, an iPhone, and £635 in cash. Richardson had a package with 14 grams of crack cocaine hidden in his trouser leg, and two packages in his underwear containing heroin and 15 deals of crack cocaine. Police also seized a Nokia phone and an iPhone from him.
Court Proceedings
Brandrick, 28, from Norton Canes, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a class A drug (cocaine) and was jailed for two years and seven months at Stafford Crown Court on Friday, May 29. Richardson, 22, from Oscott, Birmingham, admitted possession with intent to supply class A drugs (crack cocaine, heroin, and cocaine) and received a sentence of two years and eight months. He also received an additional 12 months in prison, to run consecutively, for breaching a previous suspended sentence.
