Keepmoat Splits Midlands & South West Division for Growth
Keepmoat splits division after acquiring 10 new sites

In a significant strategic move, national housebuilder Keepmoat has announced it will split its combined Midlands and South West division to establish a dedicated operational arm for the West of England.

A New Regional Base in Bristol

The creation of this new region, which will be the company's tenth, is a direct response to its growing portfolio in the area. The decision follows the acquisition of 10 new developments in the West Country. Of these, five sites are scheduled to progress into construction next year, with the remaining five currently in the pre-development phase.

This expansion underscores a committed investment in the South West's property market and is designed to better manage the increasing workload and opportunities in the region.

Leadership for the New Divisions

Heading up the new South West division will be Ben Leather, who originally joined Keepmoat as regional managing director for the West Midlands in July last year. His experience will be pivotal in steering the new Bristol-based office.

Concurrently, the Birmingham-based West Midlands team will be led by Shaun Fielding, a seasoned professional returning to Keepmoat after more than 15 years with the company. His most recent role was as regional managing director of the East Midlands. Fielding's team is also progressing five new sites, with development set to continue into 2026.

Strategic Growth and Future Communities

Commenting on the development, Ben Leather stated: “This is a really exciting time for the business as we establish our tenth Region, a dedicated South West office, to deliver our new land acquisitions and progress ten new sites.”

He emphasised that this growth is a testament to the company's success in the region, highlighting ongoing efforts to develop a strong pipeline of opportunities, bolster relationships with local authorities and partners, and create sustainable new communities.

Echoing this sentiment, Keepmoat's Chief Executive, Ian Hoad, added: “We’re thrilled to be opening up a new office in the South West to support the fantastic work of Ben and his team in growing our presence across the region. This is a fantastic step forward for Keepmoat as we seek to grow the business and increase our output in the coming years.”

The division split marks a clear and calculated step in Keepmoat's broader strategy to enhance its operational focus and output capacity, solidifying its footprint across the UK.
