Man Charged with Solihull Car Thefts to Appear in Court

A man has been charged following the theft of several cars in Solihull. Steven Troughton, 44, of no fixed address, faces four counts of theft of a motor vehicle. He is scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 10.

West Midlands Police confirmed that Troughton was also wanted on recall to prison and will remain in custody. The charges stem from an investigation into four cars stolen from the Marston Green and Kingshurst areas between February and May.

Officers from Solihull CID and the Vehicle Crime Team conducted extensive enquiries and issued a public appeal for information. Police expressed gratitude to the community for their response.
