Pedmore Lane Hagley to close for Openreach telegraph pole works

Pedmore Lane near Hagley is set to close temporarily next month to allow Openreach engineers to install telegraph poles. Worcestershire County Council has announced the planned closure, which will take place on Thursday, November 5.

Closure details and diversion route

The closure will affect a 392-metre stretch of the road, running north-west from its junction with Wassell Grove Lane. The work is expected to take one day to complete.

During the closure, motorists will be diverted via Wassell Grove Lane, Hagley Hill, Birmingham Road towards Dudley and the unaffected section of Pedmore Lane. The diversion will also operate in the opposite direction, according to the council.

Access and public notice

Access will be maintained for properties and land directly affected by the closure where no alternative route is available. The formal notice can be viewed on the Public Notice Portal at publicnoticeportal.uk.

Further information is available on the Worcestershire County Council website. The council has not indicated any changes to the schedule, and the closure is expected to proceed as planned.
