Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We have been working hard over the past week to understand exactly what happened. To this end, we have spoken with multiple witnesses and analysed a considerable amount of CCTV footage.

"However, we believe there are still people who witnessed the incident who have yet to come forward – perhaps because they think the information they have is not significant, or that others had a better view. I want to stress that anything they saw – no matter how minor it may seem – could be of crucial importance to our investigation."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 702 of 11 May 2026, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
