The annual Palace show is set to return this summer, bringing the community together to celebrate local talent and home-grown goods. The event will take place on August 22, with everyone welcome to bring along their produce and entries to the Palace.
Entry Details and Competition Categories
Entries will be accepted on the morning of the show between 8.30am and 11.15am. Organisers warmly encourage participation, even for those unsure about their chances. A special competition for cake decorators will be based on the theme of 'My Garden', with the winner receiving a delightful Prosecco Tea for 2 at Sunnyside Garden Centre.
Photography enthusiasts can also share their creative work by entering a picture inspired by the same garden theme. The judge will focus on photo quality and theme alignment rather than the garden itself.
Children's Activities and Afternoon Events
Younger family members are invited to join in with special children's categories, including making an edible necklace or planting something in an unusual container. For those preferring to browse, the Palace will open at 2.30pm to view displays and prize winners.
A produce sale and tombola will be hosted during the afternoon to support LOROS and the show. Schedules can be collected from the Palace at 57 High Street or the No Frills Shop in Chapel Street, or requested by emailing jacquieaucott@gmail.com.
Event Details and Charitable Support
The event takes place on August 22 at The Palace, 57 High Street, Ibstock. Entry to view displays is free, with produce available for sale in aid of LOROS. This annual show continues to provide an opportunity for local residents to showcase their talents and support a worthy cause.
