Woodland Adventures, a giant woodland playground at The Belfry Hotel and Resort in Sutton Coldfield, is free to visit and open to non-guests who buy food or drink. The nature-inspired play area features zip wires, sunken trampolines, huge climbing towers and cargo nets for scrambling.
Three play zones set in 550 acres
The playground is divided into three zones: The Owls Roost, Hoppers Hollow and Squirrel Play. Kids can 'swoop and soar' down slides and on swings at The Owls Roost, while Hoppers Hollow offers trampolines and tunnels. The area is set within 550 acres of Warwickshire countryside.
Made using local resources, the playground is said to have been inspired by the native woodland species at the site. It is free for children, whether they are staying at the resort or visiting for the day for food or activities.
Summer activities and facilities
This summer, The Belfry also has a beach and a WaveSurfer, inviting families to bodyboard and play in the sand, with charges applying. An ice-cream van and activities such as Nerf gun battles, football darts and inflatable axe throwing are available until September 6, 2026.
The Belfry has three golf courses, an award-winning spa and multiple restaurants.
