Alasdair was a dedicated and well-respected musician and music teacher for many years, inspiring a love of music in young people and helping some pursue musical careers. After retirement, he served as the organist for four Masonic Lodges, where he was cherished by those fortunate enough to know him.

A service to commemorate his life will be held at Robin Hood Crematorium on Tuesday, April 7, at 12:30 PM. Donations in his memory will support the Woodland Trust and the Brooke Hospital for Working Horses and Donkeys in the Middle East.

Michael Dodd

We share the sad news that Michael Dodd passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, at his care home in Stourbridge. He had been battling dementia for the past year, with his health declining rapidly in recent weeks.

His funeral service will take place at St. Peter's Church in Hall Green, Birmingham, on Tuesday, April 21, at 11:15 AM, followed by committal at Robin Hood Crematorium at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to his chosen charity, Embrace the Middle East.

Ian Scott Field

Ian Scott Field passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 82. He will be sadly missed by his wife Pat, daughters Paula, Teresa, and Karen, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at Lodge Hill Crematorium on Thursday, April 9, at 11:30 AM.

Matthew David Gallagher

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Matthew David Gallagher on March 8, 2026, after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Born on March 21, 1973, Matt was a beloved husband to Lisa and a devoted father to Hollie-Mae, Daisy, and Jack.

He will be remembered for his strength, warmth, and ability to bring people together. A passionate rugby enthusiast, Matt loved both playing and coaching, building lifelong friendships through the sport.

Following his diagnosis in 2023, he founded the Matt Gallagher Foundation, supporting over 100 families affected by Motor Neurone Disease across the West Midlands. His legacy of compassion and resilience will endure.

A reception will be held at Olton Friary Church on Thursday, April 16, at 7:00 PM, with a funeral service on Friday, April 17, at 11:30 AM, followed by a private burial.

Sheila Grace Kelly

A service to celebrate Sheila's life will take place at Robin Hood Crematorium on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Family flowers only are requested, but donations may be made to the British Heart Foundation via Thomas Brothers in Redditch.

David Graham Martin

David Graham Martin passed away peacefully at home on March 14, 2026, at the age of 86. He was a loving husband, dad, grandad, and great-grandad. His funeral service will be held at Robin Hood Crematorium on Monday, April 20, at 12:00 PM.

Janet Plumb

Janet Plumb passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 23, at the age of 79. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Eric, daughter Jo, daughter-in-law Becky, grandchildren, and all family and friends.

Her funeral service will be at Yardley Crematorium on Friday, May 8, at 12:15 PM. Family flowers only are requested, with donations in lieu to Myeloma UK.

Annie Ryan

Annie Ryan sadly passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 92. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend, deeply missed by her devoted children Julie and Peter, brother Patrick, and extended family.
