Reality television personalities Joey and Frankie Essex are grieving the devastating loss of a cherished family member, their uncle Greg Essex.

The siblings, famed for their roles on The Only Way Is Essex, each shared moving posts on Instagram on 22nd November 2025 to honour their late uncle, affectionately known as 'Big Greg'. Joey Essex posted a photograph of himself with his uncle, penning an emotional caption.
He wrote: "Big Greg, you was one of a kind. The best uncle to me and brother to my dad. A family man that anyone would dream of. We will all miss you so much. Rest in peace mate love you forever."

She described him as "a true Bermondsey boy" and a Millwall supporter through and through. Frankie highlighted his adventurous spirit, noting he was "a man who travelled the world and lived it fully."
