Family-Run Birmingham Soft Play Centre Just Play Announces Closure
Just Play in Birmingham to Close After Nine Years

A family-run soft play centre in Birmingham has announced it will close its doors after nine years of operation. Just Play, located in Kingstanding, has been a popular destination for families, offering a range of activities including discos, ballet classes, football clubs, and music and movement sessions, alongside its multi-level play centre.

Special Sessions and Community Impact

The centre also hosted exclusive play sessions for children with autism and additional needs on selected days, as well as special toddler times with storytelling during term time. The team behind Just Play expressed their gratitude to the community for their support over the years.

A spokesman for the play centre, based at Kings Business Park, said: "It is with a very heavy heart that we have to tell you our sad news. Unfortunately, Just Play will be closing its doors for a final time at the end of the month. Our last general play session will be Saturday 30 May from 12.30 to 2.30pm."

The spokesman added: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that have visited or partied with us, whether it was for a birthday party or our special events. We have had a blast. We have nine years of fabulous memories and friendships made through regular visitors and Just Play team members over the years. We really hope you will join us for one last play over half term and say goodbye."

Parents Share Their Sadness

Birmingham parents have been sharing their sadness at the news. One mum said: "Omg this makes me so sad! Have been visiting here for over 6 years now with my 2 children. It’s my favourite soft play, so clean and such lovely staff. Thank you for being amazing."

Another mum added: "I’m so sorry to hear this. Just Play is by far the best, cleanest, and safest soft play around. It’s the only one I’ve ever truly felt comfortable taking my little boy to because it’s small enough that you can always see where he is. I’m absolutely gutted to hear this but thank you for helping me make so many wonderful memories with my boys over the years. We’ll really miss it."

A third posted: "Aww this is sad, my girls are older now but they both spent many rainy afternoons here as babies and toddlers, it was our go to place to get out of the house. They've both had birthday parties here too."

Just Play invites families to join them for one last play session before the final closure.
