Kerry Katona Brands Katie Price 'Absolutely Bonkers' Over Surprise Dubai Wedding

Kerry Katona has broken her silence regarding best friend Katie Price's unexpected Dubai wedding to businessman Lee Andrews, describing her longtime pal as "absolutely bonkers" in an exclusive column for new! magazine. The Atomic Kitten star's comments come amid swirling rumours about her own recent trip to Dubai, which ended prematurely due to a work emergency.

Dubai Trip Coincidence Sparks Honeymoon Crash Rumours

Speculation ran wild when Kerry Katona and her partner Paolo were spotted in Dubai simultaneously with Katie Price and her new husband Lee Andrews. Many assumed Kerry had intruded on the newlyweds' honeymoon, but the singer has clarified the situation was far more innocent.

"Paolo and I travelled to Dubai for a romantic getaway for our first Valentine's Day where we had a mega-quick 20-minute catch up with Katie Price and her husband Lee," Kerry explained. "But unfortunately, during the trip, Paolo had to go back to the UK for a work emergency. I got to spend literally 14 hours with him before he had to leave, which meant I was left alone in Dubai, which we were both gutted about."

Whirlwind Romance Stuns Even Close Friends

The 45-year-old mother-of-five expressed genuine surprise at Katie's sudden marriage to Andrews, whom the 47-year-old glamour model met on Instagram just two weeks before their Dubai wedding. Katie briefly returned to the UK after the ceremony before jetting back to Dubai to continue celebrating with her new husband.

In a surprising development, the newlyweds have since invited Kerry and her partner Paulo Margaglione to join them in Dubai, with recent photos showing the four enjoying time together in swimwear, apparently having reconciled any differences.

Kerry's Candid Assessment of Katie's Relationship

Despite their friendship, Kerry was remarkably candid about Katie's rapid remarriage, particularly given that Katie confirmed her separation from JJ Slater merely 11 days before announcing her wedding to Andrews.

"As Katie's friend I absolutely love and support her no matter what she does - but she's absolutely bonkers," Kerry wrote in her column. "Kate just wants to be loved. But, for me personally, I wouldn't have got married. When I do get proposed to I want to make sure it's forever."

Katie Price Defends Her Decisions

Katie Price remains defiant about her relationship choices, addressing critics directly on her YouTube channel while packing for her return trip to Dubai.

"What I want everyone to know is, I'm a grown a*** woman. I'm 48 this year, I'm not a young kid," Katie stated. "I've learned a lot in the past few years, through therapy and learning to love myself. So I'm not stupid, I know what I'm doing and if I'm happy that's all that matters."

She further emphasized her contentment, adding: "At the end of the day, no one knows what I know. It's only been speculated by the press. I am very happy and that's all that matters. That happy that I'm going back to Dubai for the weekend. So I can't wait."

The wedding itself was documented through photos shared by Katie from a luxurious Dubai hotel suite featuring a swimming pool and hot tub decorated with rose petals spelling out "Will You Marry Me Katie?" The glamour model enthusiastically described Andrews as her "Richard Gere" despite the relationship's rapid progression.
