Love Island star Angelista Gunda's brothers have revealed that their mum has banned Simba from the family home, potentially creating an awkward situation for the couple on family day.
Brothers Speak Out on Podcast
Angelista's brothers appeared on Tyrique Hyde's podcast, where they shared their candid opinions on Simba, who rekindled his romance with Angelista after a rocky journey in the villa. Before Casa Amor, Angelista and Simba were in a good place, but that changed when Simba connected with Casa Amor bombshell Mara Pirez. He brought Mara back to the main villa, a controversial move that shocked everyone. In true Love Island fashion, Simba doubted his decision and gave Mara the cold shoulder, eventually rekindling with Angelista after Mara was dumped.
During the podcast, Tyrique asked whether Angelista should ditch Simba or stay with him to reach the final. Her older brother, Dyan, replied: "She got to ride out her options until something else come. Yeah, but if somebody that come that's genuinely feeling it, I think she'd be gone." Her younger brother, Alex, added: "The Angie that I know, from outside of the villa and the type of man that she deals with, I know all it takes is one red flag and you're gone."
Strict Rules and Mum's Ban
Tyrique joked that Angelista supposedly "runs a strict program," but it hasn't looked "real strict" to him, a sentiment her brothers agreed with. Dyan claimed he planned to have words with Angie about Simba being in the "dog house," as it appeared more like a "mansion." He added: "Maybe there was a dog house that we didn't get to see."
During the live stream, Tyrique also suggested that Angelista's family would likely accept Simba once he leaves the villa, even joking they'd make TikToks together. However, Alex immediately disputed this, saying: "The thing is, my mum is on him as well. Maybe even worse than us, you know. Seriously." Dyan added that their mum has implemented a strict rule: "She [mum] said he can't come to the crib still."
Awkward Family Day Ahead
This revelation comes after Angelista and Simba have officially shared "I love yous," raising questions about whether the ban will be lifted. The situation could make family day very awkward for Simba, especially with the brothers and mum harboring doubts about him.
