Four kittens with names inspired by the classic PlayStation game Spyro the Dragon are in need of loving forever homes in the West Midlands. The RSPCA branch caring for them is hoping the nostalgic monikers will help them find adopters quickly.
Kittens Named After Spyro Characters
The litter, currently at the RSPCA’s Birmingham Animal Centre, consists of three females and one male, each named after characters from the popular 1990s video game. Their names are Spyro, Bianca, Elora, and Sheila. The kittens are approximately eight weeks old and were brought into the centre after being found as strays.
RSPCA animal centre manager, Emma Finnimore, said: “We thought naming them after characters from Spyro the Dragon would be a fun way to attract attention. The game is a classic, and we hope it will encourage people to come forward and offer them a home.”
RSPCA Appeals for Adopters
The RSPCA has seen an increase in the number of cats and kittens coming into its care, and the Birmingham centre is currently full. The charity is appealing for responsible owners to come forward to adopt the kittens and other animals in need.
“We have a lot of cats and kittens looking for homes at the moment, and we are urging anyone thinking of getting a pet to consider adopting rather than buying,” added Finnimore. “These four are healthy, playful, and ready to find their forever families.”
How to Adopt
Potential adopters will need to undergo a home check and pay an adoption fee, which covers the cost of neutering, microchipping, and initial vaccinations. Anyone interested in offering a home to Spyro, Bianca, Elora, or Sheila is asked to contact the RSPCA Birmingham Animal Centre directly.
The centre also has many other cats and dogs available for adoption. The RSPCA advises that adopting a pet is a long-term commitment and encourages potential owners to research thoroughly before making a decision.
