Lola Deal has opened up about her true feelings towards Love Island rival Julia Mayska following her departure from the villa. The 28-year-old former police officer and her partner Sean Fitzgerald, 25, left the show earlier this week after being dumped by Lorenzo Alessi and his Casa Amor partner.
The couple voluntarily put themselves forward for elimination after finding themselves in the bottom three alongside Mica and Samraj, and Martha and Jordan. Lorenzo and his partner, who topped a popularity poll, chose to send Lola and Fitzy home, saving the other four Islanders.
Trust in Sean Despite Casa Amor Controversy
Addressing Sean's behaviour during Casa Amor, which Julia frequently brought up, Lola stated: 'I trust him with absolutely everything. I never thought he’d do anything to disrespect me.' She admitted she was unimpressed when he won a challenge but emphasised his respect for their boundaries.
'We’d already spoken about our boundaries,' Lola explained. 'I don’t mind him dancing with girls. The kisses were kept quite respectful. Even when I watched it back, I understood why people thought it looked bad, but for me he respected my boundaries as much as he possibly could have.'
Forced Drama with Julia
Lola described her clashes with Julia as 'forced drama'. She said: 'With Julia I’d said my bit from the start and I didn’t really need to discuss it again. My disappointment was that she didn’t really appreciate the fact she was trying to crack on with the one boy who was exclusive.'
'The difficult part was that every time things had settled, she’d bring it back up again. For me, it felt like forced drama.' Lola made it clear she has no intention of befriending Julia, as she praised other female Islanders but omitted Julia from her list of friends.
